Please spare our eyes and use no font smaller than 12 pt. Also, always number your pages.
Reprints:
We solicit them; exceptions may be made for work that appeared in another language or country, but please query first.
Reviews:
Reviews are generally handled in house. If you'd like to submit a book for review, please query evergreensubmissions@gmail.com, but be aware if we like what we read we will ask for a hard-copy of the work.
Simultaneous Submissions:
We accept simultaneous submissions; please withdraw your piece using the withdrawal feature of Submishmash if your submission is accepted by another publication.
Multiple Submissions:
Only after three months-so if we have a submission of yours that we've been mulling over an entire season, feel free to send another piece. Poetry is an exception; we'll accept those in groups of three. They will be reviewed in the order of receipt.
Length:
Non-Fiction and Fiction- Limit your submission to 10,000 words. Exerpts are fine, as long as they stand on their own.
Poetry- Please submit a maximum of three standard-length poems, or one long-form poem at a time.
File Formats: Don't have Word or access to it? If your file format is not supported, please write to us at evergreensubmissions@gmail.com, and tell us your problem. We'll work something out.
Response Times:
Generally under three months but varies greatly. If it's been four months or more please send us a query.
Rights/Payment:
We request only to post your piece for two months on our website. After that we will archive it. You can request removal from the archive at any time. Payment is in the form of exposure; unfortunately there is no monetary payment for work included in Evergreen at this time.
